Details: I have a 2000 Volvo S40 front wheel drive turbo sedan; it has heated seats, power windows and locks, sunroof and cd. It has 168k mile on it but runs great and has plenty of power. I am only selling the car to pay for school. The heat and Ac work like they should. The car is 12years old and not perfect but the paint is nice when clean; everything works except the interment wiper setting. The car needs a new anti- sway bar bushing, it make a rattling noise when driving on bumpy roads. I took it to Les Schwab for an estimate on the repair. They will only do the work if they can do both sides at the same time. The part is 8.00 dollars x2 and the shipping is 10.00 x 2 and the labor is 60.00 the total will be around a hundred dollars that is why I reduced the price 100.00.the car has great V-rated tires and a flow master muffler, it sounds good and not loud, but it does have a low deep sounding rumble Oh and it has a turbo, it is fun to drive and feels like it is a super light car. It is super safe and very grounded. It has three driving modes Normal, winter and Sport. Pleas only serious inquiries only the car is not a hot rod and I will not tolerate people abusing my car, It is 12 years old and deserves to be treated with care. Details: Hi I have a great looking 2000 Volvo S40 for sale. It is 12 years old and not perfect, but is a great little car. It has 168k miles on it however, it runs just fine and it has plenty of power. Everything works all the windows and all locks. The Ac and heat both work great, the sun roof is a lot of fun and nice for getting some air or pop it up in the summer will keep the car cooler when it is parked in the sun. Volvos run for a longtime as long as they are taken care of. I am not really willing to go down on the price. 3200 is more than fair. I am selling the car to pay for school. It is the only one I own outright or I would be keeping it, It get respectable Gas mileage at about 30 if you drive like a grandpa and stay out of sport mode. I average about 25 with in town and highway driving. The turbo engages early between 1500 and 3000 Rpms it make the car feel quick and you are driving 50 in a 35 zone before you know it. The car is fun to drive, but it is not a race car and would not hold up if driven that way all of the time. The Bad, the car needs new anti-sway bar frame bushings, the rubber has fallen out of one so when you hit a bump it make noise. It cost 100 bucks to fix at les Schwab, I just have not had the money to fix it. The car drive just fine it just make extra noise on really bumpy roads. Details: Volvo Wagon Turbo Intercooler 760. I love this car and have maintained it by the book as long as I have owned it and have all the records of it´s maintenance. It has 195,000 miles on it. I have been told that it needs a head gasket replaced. It drives fine but over heats so I have to add radiator water frequently. I cannot justify repairing it as I am preparing to move out of country. It just passed the emision test and is good to go for 2 years.Most everything works on this car. It has a sun roof, auto transmission, electric everything. The driver seat warmer does not work but the passenger side does. The body is in good shape. There is a crack in one corner of the windshield but is not in view. I have two brand new ( 1000 miles on) snow tires on the front and two studded tires on the back right now. I have 4 very good tread tires to put on with two of those on rims already. So I have 8 good tires with 6 wheels. That alone is about 5 to 6 hundred dollars worth of tires.It is a white wagon with grey leather interior. I need to sew up the drivers seat as it has come apart on the seam but no tears anywhere else. Like I said I love this car and anyone who has driven a Volvo understands what I mean. 1000.00 or obo. Original miles when purchased around 159xxx.What this car needs:Exhaust valve in #3 cylinder got burnt and cylinder will not produce compression. Other 4 cylinders are fine, and I have compression tested all cylinders for comparison. It is fixable, and I would do it but I do not have the time with many other projects going. I have a complete parts list, a resource to buy parts locally, a contact for a cylinder head shop (and approximate costs), and a tutorial on how to get the head off, and back on correctly to fix this car. This issue is not uncommon for 850 Volvo´s, but it is completely fixable and is not difficult to do for a DIY mechanic. You can check with a local garage on costs for them to do the work, but my estimate (for a DIY mechanic) is between $1000 and $1200 depending on the condition of the valve train when the head shop sees it.This is a very good car and has served us well, but we need to move on since we bought my daughter another car. I am willing to talk at length about this vehicle if you are interested, and I would not hesitate to fix this car if I had the time myself. It is the same model that was featured in the 1960´s TV show, The Saint, with Roger Moore. It has a 1782cc inline 4 cylinder engine, mated to a manual 4 speed transmission with an electronic paddle shift overdrive. There is on rust hole in the body and some light rust in one other spot. The frame is straight and the glass is all good. I have a plethora of parts to supplement the car, including four aftermarket rims with street tires, new upper and lower dash, new front spoiler, new door panels, new muffler, new door sills, new hood insulation kit, new suspension upgrade kit, and others..Since I bought this car, I have upgraded to an electric fuel pump and switched out the twin SU carbs with a single Weber 2bbl. I also installed new carpet and vinyl racing seats. I still have the original carbs and seats, rims, hubcaps, etc. I will include everything in the sale. Details: I have a dark green 2000 Volvo S40; it has heated leather seats, sun roof, pw, pl, keyless entry, cd/tape deck, and traction control. It has three drive modes, normal, winter and sport. Sport mode is a speeding ticket waiting to happen, the car is in great shape inside and out. It is 12years old and not perfect; it has 169k miles on it however Volvos run for ever as long as they are taken care of. The paint is great and the body has only minor scratches on it. It has one spot on the hood next to the grill that the paint chipped but it could be easily fixed with touch up paint that you can only find at the dealer and that is why I have not fixed that, it is not noticeable unless you know where to look. With a wax this car would be beautiful. Details: I am selling my 1988 automatic 4 door Volvo for $1000 or best offer. It is pretty clean inside and out side. The front seats have some tares, but I have seat covers on them. Most of the engine belts have been replaced in the past year. Have spare parts for it. Buying a new battery for it tomorrow and changing the oil. It has a sun roof, automatic windows, big back seat and trunk. Great family car or first car owner. It has been sitting for 6 months because I bought a newer car, and have kept the volvo as a backup car but need money. It is a little slow getting up to thirty five miles an hour but then is fine, what do you expect it is an older car. Volvos run forever and are dependable commuter cars. The only things wrong with it is the defrosters don´t stay on long and it needs new tires, but everything else works just fine. I have a full set of extra rims to go with it as well. Ends up that its something I cant fix myself.What it needs is electrical. I took it to 3 different places to confirm thats what it is. Lyle Pearson, AAMCO, and Hurless Brothers.It has what appears to be an electrical problem from the tranny to the tranny computer. The car is in what Volvo calls limp gear. Its always in 3rd or 4th. If you can fix this yourself or have it fixed its anywhere from 5-8 hundred bucks for the computer to be replaced or fix the wiring problem first then you could have a great running sound car thats in really good shape for a great price.
