Details: I have a 1991 Volvo 240 Sedan for sale. It has some minor issues. The smaller issues of course are peeling and rusted paint, but if you´re not about aesthetics then you´ll be fine. The driver side door does not unlock, but the key will open the passenger side. The Odometer and Speedometer do not work. The mileage on the ODO is about 164,000, but it stopped there. There has not been anymore than 10,000 miles put on it since. The main issue of the car, and why i am selling so low, is that it has a charging issue. For some reason unbeknownst to me, the battery does not hold a charge over night. If you connect some jumper cables she´ll start up just fine. The battery and alternator are brand new, bought in February. I have receipts. There must be a short somewhere that i can´t figure out. Other than that the engine and transmission are strong. It passed smog on 3-24-2012 (i have the paperwork) so you don´t have to worry about that. If you can figure out why the battery isn´t charging and fix it you can have a very good commuting car. It will need to be jumped when you arrive and will probably need to idle for a bit to charge. I have jumper cables. I´m asking 1400 OBO. I have a clean title in hand. I will not trade for tattoos or anything. I´m selling it as is. Best offer takes it. Details: I recently bought a Volvo 240 sedan with the intention to fix her up and use her as my every day commuter, but things happen and I need the money. There are some things wrong with it. The odometer and the speedometer don´t work and the driver side lock doesn´t work. The main issue is a chraging issue. The battery won´t seem to charge or something is possbily draining it rapidly while it sits. The battery and the alternator are brand new, bought the last week of february! So it could be a short somewhere. I don´t know. I´m not good with electrical components. The engine and the transmission are strong. The ODO stopped at 164,000 miles and there has been no more than 10,000 put on it since. If you got the knowledge and a few extra bucks you can fix up this car up good. It passed smog two weeks ago (i have the certificate). It is registered until october. I have the reciepts for the alternator and the battery and I have the title in hand. If you want her you may need to tow her or we´ll have to jump her and let her warm up. Hopefully you don´t live too far away.
