Details: For Sale - 1993 Volvo 245 (Wagon) Automatic - $2000 obo / all offers considered... comes with 4 Cooper snow tires on steel wheels, full front and rear car bra, box of new parts.This is a great running car, just passed PA inspection and emission tests with no trouble. Clean title in hand, car was my daily driver and never gave me any trouble whatsoever. 1993 was the last year that Volvo made the famous 240, a car that was celebrated for its safety and durability. The 240 was legendary for its long lifespan with little maintenance, many examples run for 300,000 miles or more. This car would make a GREAT first car; it is not very quick, very easy to drive, and Volvos are extremely safe in accidents. A very solid car that would take anything a new driver could throw at it and last many years. (Also is AMAZINGLY cheap to insure!)The Good:- Strong runner, solid frame and body. No accidents or frame rust.- PA inspected w/ emissions until February 2013- Leather interior is in great condition for its age, only blemish is a slight tear in the drivers seat. Very comfy.- Power windows, power locks, power mirrors, heated seats, ABS, Airbags- Tons of storage space- Large gas tank, great for long highway trips- Pioneer CD playerThe Bad:- Odometer is dead at 186,000 ... car has only been driven about 5,000 miles since then. Car is currently registered odometer exempt so this won´t cause any trouble. A very common problem with Volvo 240s, and its only a $25 dollar fix, I just never felt the need to take care of it (car is fine otherwise). All other gauges work and are accurate. - Paint is peeling a bit on the roof/under the roof rack. Paint is fairly clean everywhere else on the car- One summer tire has a slight valve stem leak, not very bad though. I have had to check the air about every 2 weeks. Car has just had a plug and wire job done with Bosch IR Fusion spark plugs. Car will also come with a new timing belt, new alternator belt, new valve cover gasket, new performance camshaft (easy install for a performance boost if you ever feel the need. Cam is literally a 15 minute job), new turn signal cover and a new fuel filter for an oil change among other things. For more pictures / questions / requests to see the car just send me an email. Details: General info:-Vin - YV1LS5813S2239223-roughly 129,150 miles-Replaced ABS Module-Brand new battery-All 4 tires are relatively new-Upper engine mount has been replaced-Front left caliper is new-Routine maintenance and then some-Front right ball bearings were replaced along with a few other random suspension partsThe good:-EST Exhaust, installed it when I bought the car about 6 years ago.-Still has the speedtuning 17psi chip in it-Cone air intake-HID Headlights (left side ballast was replaced recently and I have an extra for the right which I will toss in)-Leather is still in pretty good condition for its age-Both rear speakers were upgraded-6 Disc changer in the trunkThe not so good:-Volans are curbed and I have pictures of the 2 bad ones. One has a chunk missing from sliding into a curb during some snow (no suspension damage from that) and the other has a bend in it, but balances fine.-Headliner needs to be replaced by someone who can do it much better than I can. It is already sagging a little in the back and the part around the sunroof is glued back together-When I replaced the headliner I must have caused a pinch one of the wires or I did not wire the sun visors well enough because I cannot keep a fuse from blowing which powers the interior lights and makes the door ajar sound go off constantly. (I pulled the fuse for the door ajar - drove me nuts)-Dent in the rear passenger door. It isn´t terrible, but I couldn´t get it to suction out with the small tool I have.-Paint is chipped on the front bumper and is heavily faded on the right rear pillar.-Back bumper is cracked bit where the exhaust is from the installation of the exhaust.-No emergency brake (wasn´t functional when I bought it)As you can see it does need some work, most of which are things that can be completed easily by someone with the know-how and resources.I would love $3k however I am very open to hearing counter offers.
