Details: 1971 Volvo 164. Dual Stromberg carbs, 4spd with overdrive. Runs pretty well, but could use to have the carbs adjusted better.This is the big 3-liter six cylinder engine. one of the last with carbs rather than fuel injection.The 164 is a european luxury sedan- 4 doors, manual shift, comparable to Jaguar, Mercedes, etc... and a lot easier to park than a caddy- or even a mercedes.This one could use paint and some basic restoration, or can be driven ´as is´ for that ´shabby chic´ look. It´s been a pretty reliable car for me, just have too many projects.Car is old enough and unusual enough that people have asked me if it´s an old Bentley or Rolls (ok, maybe not the brightest people, but, still, true.)As it´s a 71 it is exempt from emissions testing and qualifies for collector plates.It was my daily driver for a couple of years.It is a 40 year old car, so it has some maintainable issues, and one door is a different color (car could really benefit from a paint job- or so my significant other tells me)On the other hand- this is a classic volvo- built like a tank, easy to fix, has lots of valuable parts, and damned good looking.Need cash to pay bills, and have too many projects.Might be willing to trade for a convertible, Volvo 122 Amazon (2 door or wagon) Harley or Triumph, but, really, it is time for this car to have a new owner who will take care of it as it deserves.If the ad is up, you can ssume that I still have the car.Not a lot of these out there.
