No other issues. starts and runs great, very clean; no ticks or noises. Very well taken care of. KBB on this car is still very high. Even purchasing and installing a transmission will keep this car under book value. Price is firm. Please be serious about purchasing this vehicle. My time is extremely limited so tire kickers please pass on this one. If you know your Volvos, this is a great one. Bought as a project and it has just sat. Details: I have a 1998 Volvo S70 T5 2.3L turbo for sale. The car is in overall good shape, body paint is peeling some, rear bumper is slightly off, unsure as to why, bought it like that. Upholstery is a little rough, good little hole in drivers side seat. Floor mats are a bit rough looking too but overall ok. Antenna is missing but radio still works. I never cared because I just use tape player adapter with my iPhone. Otherwise car looks pretty good. Car is red in color. Kind of fire engine red. Now mechanical- engine has 186,000+ miles on it. I have service records from previous owner as well as my own as much as I could. Didn´t keep records too well as I planned on keeping this car forever. The check engine light is ON AND BLINKS!! I have taken this to my local mechanic guy and he says that ´cylinder 2 is getting no compression´. His words exactly. Autozone pulled the codes from the computer and I am getting ´cylinder 3 misfire´. We just replaced all the spark plugs to no avail. To the best of my knowledge this is it with the engine. The car runs, but idles very rough. She is guzzling gas too. I have tried seafoam into air intake and rissolone (sp?) to try to fix. Mechanic says possible stuck valve? If you know how to fix cars and are willing to put in the time, I have been told this can be fixed. And that would be a hell of a deal! KBB says this car in good shape goes for about $5000. Don´t bitch me out if this is incorrect. To the best of my knowledge it is. Car has a brand new radiator. Had a leaking oil problem that ended up being several hoses an I dropped like $900 fixing that. Turbo was check and is still great. Tranny is good. Oh the doughnut is trunk but is torn up. Also passenger front tire is NOT a Volvo tire, just a same size replacement. ABS light is also on as well as service comes on for a time, then disappears. Details: I have a 2004 Volvo s60. Its AWD and Turbo. 5 cylinder, and is quick when you lay down on the peddle. Everything is leather and power. Power windows, seats, and seat heaters. It just had $1200 in suspension repairs. It lacks a gas door but I can order one for like $40. The drivers window doesn work, the internals operate fine, just the window clamps came off the glass when I tried to roll it down durig freezing weather and it pulled off the glass. I little noise while making a sharp turn and 1st gear is a little jumpy SOMETIMES. I drive it everyday to Uofl and back. It´s one of the safest cars out there. Im just being honest on it´s problems. Its worth more than what I am posting it for, I just want a newer car. I would love a mustang in good condition and not alot of miles. So it has well over $1500 in aftermarket parts. Also i just put a new 15 g turbo on it off of a t-5. The car is pretty fast for what it is. It runs great and has been very dependable and well taken care of, i just want to buy a truck. The only bad things about the car is that it doesnt have a headliner, has a small oil leak and there is a lifter ticking but thats not a big deal. a friend of mine that is a mechanic looked at it and told me not to even worry about it but i dropped the price to $1500 anyways. I need a better car to DD, quickly...I´m starting a new job that´s a 40mile round trip everyday. I bought this car a while ago (as most of you know) and the PO lied about a bunch of shit. It had a blown HG, WP leaked, oil was leaking everywhere, the exhaust was held on with speaker wire, etc. I took the head off, had it resurfaced, new HG, replaced every gasket and seal on/in the head, intake/exhaust mani, dp, etc. Replaced every vacuum hose, air filter, fuel filter and a lot of other things. I took the AC and PS out. The AC wasn´t working anyways (Still have everything for both of them and will be included in the sale. Bad:-Trailing arm bushings need replaced (I have the bushings just not the time to do it).-Exhaust needs brackets welded on (If that´s a big problem I can do it before the sell...).-Broken exhaust manifold stud...just put hi-temp rtv on it and letting it set to see if it works (was told to use it by a bunch of people, really didn´t want to pull the head again).-Wipers don´t work lol-Broken drivers door handle (still works but you have to pull up pretty hard...I ordered a replacement but it won´t be here for 2 weeks).-Right rear tire leaks around the bead. Prob just dirt got in there so it just needs cleaned. I fill it up once about every 3 days.-Rust...some love it, some don´t (not rust on the underbody, engine bay. Strut towers are clean...).I know that seems like a lot but I want to disclose everything to everyone unlike the PO did to me. Good:-Everyone so far has loved this car...I can´t drive more than 5 min without everyone complimenting it, etc.-Motor runs strong and well...Gaskets/seals were replaced and head was resurfaced. Cylinder walls still had the factory cross hatching. -Pulls 21hg at idle. -On 12psi, it pulls really well. -The interior is a 9/10 and super comfortable.-It´ll look good in your driveway. I need a better car to DD, quickly...I´m starting a new job that´s a 40mile round trip everyday. I bought this car a while ago (as most of you know) and the PO lied about a bunch of shit. It had a blown HG, WP leaked, oil was leaking everywhere, the exhaust was held on with speaker wire, etc. I took the head off, had it resurfaced, new HG, replaced every gasket and seal on/in the head, intake/exhaust mani, dp, etc. Replaced every vacuum hose, air filter, fuel filter and a lot of other things. I took the AC and PS out. The AC wasn´t working anyways (Still have everything for both of them and will be included in the sale. Bad:-Trailing arm bushings need replaced (I have the bushings just not the time to do it).-Exhaust needs brackets welded on (If that´s a big problem I can do it before the sell...).-Broken exhaust manifold stud...just put hi-temp rtv on it and letting it set to see if it works (was told to use it by a bunch of people, really didn´t want to pull the head again).-Wipers don´t work lol-Broken drivers door handle (still works but you have to pull up pretty hard...I ordered a replacement but it won´t be here for 2 weeks).-Right rear tire leaks around the bead. Prob just dirt got in there so it just needs cleaned. I fill it up once about every 3 days.-Rust...some love it, some don´t (not rust on the underbody, engine bay. Strut towers are clean...).I know that seems like a lot but I want to disclose everything to everyone unlike the PO did to me. Good:-Everyone so far has loved this car...I can´t drive more than 5 min without everyone complimenting it, etc.-Motor runs strong and well...Gaskets/seals were replaced and head was resurfaced. Cylinder walls still had the factory cross hatching. -Pulls 21hg at idle. -On 12psi, it pulls really well. -The interior is a 9/10 and super comfortable.-It´ll look good in your driveway.
