The car has a clean title, new breaks, a new starter, just got its oil changed in March of 2012, and just past DEQ and got new tags. This car is set for a while and runs beautifully, I´m sad to sell it, but am leaving for grad school to New York so won´t be needing it. You can see from the pics that the paint still looks great, there is a small dent and handful of scratches on the back corner of the car, on the drivers side, see the picture below. Oh, there´s also a CD player in the back, heated seats and a moon roof, (or maybe it´s called a sun roof? The one that slides open, automatically). My asking price of $950 is fair.Good:The car runs great.Interior is in excellent condition.I replaced the water pump just over a year ago and the battery in February.Annoyances:The linkage for shifting the car into reverse is broken, which means it just doesn´t reverse. It´s a simple repair, if you know how to tinker with Volvos. Also, the folks at Vol-tech offered a high-ball estimate of somewhere between $100-200. This depends on whether they have to disassemble this shifter and then reassemble it in order to correct the linkage, or are able to trade this one out with a used one.The tags are expired and the car is not currently insured! I bought the car in Portland in 2010. I´m selling it now because I´m too broke to drive a car, plus I´m moving back east and don´t want to bother with parking in Chicago. I´ve driven it up and down the west coast many times and would love to drive it back east, but having a car in Chicago seems really impractical. Details: The car has 150,500 miles as of now. This has been my daily driver for the last 2 months. It´s a great car, I´m just a jeep/truck kind of guy. I bought it from Brooks Motor Company. The Carfax was clean, clean title. I bought it for $5000 and put in about $1500. I had the timing belt, catalytic converters (2 of them), head gaskets, and spark plugs replaced. I put in a JVC stereo with bluetooth and has tweeters in it, and wiring for a sound system. It comes with a set of studded tires that has about 100 miles on them and the tires I had put on have about 2,000 miles on them. It is a nice ride, a 1.9 turbo. gets about 21mpg city and 30mpg highway. Takes premium gas. The cons:The alignment could use adjustment because it pulls to the right after a hard acceleration.Vibration in the steering wheel at about 65mph. The tires have been balanced but it still does it, I have no clue what it could be.The color is yellow (I find it a con because I despise yellow but it has wonderful ratings).Being a Volvo the check engine light comes on for the smallest thing and usually is just phantom codes so there is never anything.$6500 obo. It´s a simple repair, if you know how to tinker with Volvos. Also, the folks at Vol-tech offered a high-ball estimate of somewhere between $100-200. This depends on whether they have to disassemble this shifter and then reassemble it in order to correct the linkage, or are able to trade this one out with a used one.The tags are expired and the car is not currently insured! I bought the car in Portland in 2010. I´m selling it now because I´m too broke to drive a car, plus I´m moving back east and don´t want to bother with parking in Chicago. Details: The car has 150,500 miles as of now. This has been my daily driver for the last 2 months. It´s a great car, I´m just a jeep/truck kind of guy. I bought it from Brooks Motor Company. The Carfax was clean, clean title. I bought it for $5000 and put in about $1500. I had the timing belt, catalytic converters (2 of them), head gaskets, and spark plugs replaced. I put in a JVC stereo with bluetooth and has tweeters in it, and wiring for a sound system. It comes with a set of studded tires that has about 100 miles on them and the tires I had put on have about 2,000 miles on them. It is a nice ride, a 1.9 turbo. gets about 21mpg city and 30mpg highway. Takes premium gas. The cons:The alignment could use adjustment because it pulls to the right after a hard acceleration.Vibration in the steering wheel at about 65mph. The tires have been balanced but it still does it, I have no clue what it could be.The color is yellow (I find it a con because I despise yellow but it has wonderful ratings).Being a Volvo the check engine light comes on for the smallest thing and usually is just phantom codes so there is never anything.$6500 obo.
