Details: Up for sale is a 1990 Volvo 240DL sedan. It has a 2.3L 4 cylinder engine and a 4 speed automatic. These old Volvo´s are BULLETPROOF! Has around 261K on the clock. The first owner put the majority of the mileage on it, the second owner is who I got it from who used it to run back and forth to school. The first owner also kept a log of every service the car has EVER had since new which I will give to the new owner. It runs and drives pretty well. Heat works great on it. Power windows and door locks, and they all work too. Inside is a bit rough in spots but overall is still a pleasant place to sit. I put in new front speakers and a nice Pioneer CD player. I also replaced part of the exhaust that was bad and had new ball joints installed since they were pretty tired. Previous owner recently had the timing belt changed so it´s pretty much good to go for quite a while. Volvo´s are extremely SAFE and very reliable cars! Suspension rides nice too, it´s very comfortable on the highway or around town.Flaws aren´t many. Speed sensor in the differential is funky so it reads slower than you´re going. Basically, 30 MPH on the speedometer means you´re going 70 MPH. Previous owner used a GPS and so did I for an accurate speed. A/C does work but needs a recharge to get cold. Ball joints were replaced but because of that the car needs an alignment so it pulls to the right. Windshield has a few cracks but they´re out of the line of sight so not a big deal. That´s really about it... there´s not really much rust or damage to the body or anything which is amazing since it lived in Illinois and Wisconsin it´s whole life. Originally I got this for my brother to replace his crapbox Infiniti I30 but when I mentioned it to our mom she flipped out because it´s ´ugly´ unlike the other car... go figure that looks are more important than reliability. I´m looking to get $1100 or best reasonable offer for it. This is a car that has and will outlive pretty much any other car out there today. It has a newer radiator, and spark plugs. All within last year and my wife doest put may miles on it just runnin to town most the time.
