My car is loaded with all the power options including power sunroof, AM/FM/Cass/CD Changer, Power Windows, Power Locks, Cruise, Tilt wheel and A/C. It is a very nice, comfortable car. The interior is tan cloth and has normal wear but no tears. The exterior is in great condition as well, only flaw is it is missing a moulding on the rear right door, but I have it. The car is inspected until 1/2012 and has about 150K miles on it. I just had front brake pads and rotors installed, but it does have an exhaust leak. I believe this may be the only thing it will need for inspection next year. Details: This car has 150k on it now and climbing. It is a 5 speed 5 cylinder with 167 hp that gets 25 highway and 21 city mpg. I got this one for my wife to learn to drive a 5 speed but she has no intrest in doing that in fact she has never driven it so I gave her my truck to use and I got the volvo 850 glh. Runs real good but there are some items that i just live with instead of spending tons of cash to fix like, sunroof(not working) bad power seat button(reclining back one.) front drivers seat is leather but has rips so I use a seat cover, missing heater knob(the one that goes from floor to defrost) still cranks out the heat though. needs a fan switch it work just on high only.The car has anti lock 4 wheel breaks that work great and it has front and side air bags Brand new raditor put in Dec of 2012 AC needs charged,headliner is bad in one spot, the dash has a clip missing.check engine lite is on. Why? who knows/who cares this thing still runs real good and is a great snow car. Breaks are good.There is a factory cd player with 8 speakers that sound great. The back tires have about 80-90% tread and the front have about 1/4 tread. Inspected until May 20012. Paint job done in Nov of 2011 not the best but it sure looks better than it was! The air conditioning and heater worked properly when it was last driven this summer. It has close to 193,000 miles. This mechanic´s special needs a front and rear oxygen sensor. I was quoted $850 from a dealership to put this in and $650 ($500 parts + 2 hours of labor @ 75) from an independent Volvo mechanic to install these sensors. (Update: Both these mechanics inflated the parts price. The O2 sensors can both be purchased online at AutoPartsWarehouse.com for around $80 including shipping) Though high in miles, this car has many updated parts. Newer brake pads and tires, for example. Inspection good through 2/2012 (the end of this month). I love this car and the reason I want to sell it instead of fixing it for my own use is that I have recently inherited my elderly parents´ Volvo that has very low miles on it, so I don´t need two Volvos.As you may know, Volvos are known for their safety. The following is an excerpt from an article in the November 1999 issue of Money magazine (By Jerry Edgerton Reporter/Associate: Elyssa Yoon-Jung Lee) reviewing top cars of that year: Mid-size car: Volvo S70. This car is in need of a timing belt and water pump, which, A: I simply don´t feel like a good enough ´weekend mechanic´ to try and do myself, and, B: I can´t see spending hundreds of dollars having this thing hauled on a flatbed to a Volvo dealer (the closest one is Bill Gray in Pittsburgh), to have *them* do it, in addition to the parts and labor costs of the job!It needs these things in order to be in running condition, and for someone who is familiar with changing out the needed parts, I think it would be a simple enough fix. That´s actually one of the great things about old Volvos--if you´re mechanically-inclined, things are ´easy to get to,´ and there are many resources for parts on the Internet, both OEM and aftermarket.When it was running, it was a very smooth ride. The seats are comfy, there´s plenty of room for people or cargo, and I really, really loved driving this car! I just replaced the fuel pump before the water pump gave out on me. It had a recent oil change, and, as far as I know, everything else is fine. The leather on the front seats is a bit worn; the back seats look very good. I looked up the parts costs on various websites; it looks like the timing belt and water pump can be had for around $300, depending on where you look. The Kelley Blue Book value for this car in ´Fair´ condition is $1,045.00, so I priced this out accordingly.Please contact me via the e-mail address above; I will respond as soon as possible! The car is inspected until 1/2012 and has about 150K miles on it. I just had front brake pads and rotors installed, but it does have an exhaust leak. I believe this may be the only thing it will need for inspection next year. Details: This car has 150k on it now and climbing. It is a 5 speed 5 cylinder with 167 hp that gets 25 highway and 21 city mpg. I got this one for my wife to learn to drive a 5 speed but she has no intrest in doing that in fact she has never driven it so I gave her my truck to use and I got the volvo 850 glh. Runs real good but there are some items that i just live with instead of spending tons of cash to fix like, sunroof(not working) bad power seat button(reclining back one.) front drivers seat is leather but has rips so I use a seat cover, missing heater knob(the one that goes from floor to defrost) still cranks out the heat though. needs a fan switch it work just on high only.The car has anti lock 4 wheel breaks that work great and it has front and side air bags Brand new raditor put in Dec of 2012 AC needs charged,headliner is bad in one spot, the dash has a clip missing.check engine lite is on. Why? who knows/who cares this thing still runs real good and is a great snow car. Breaks are good.There is a factory cd player with 8 speakers that sound great. The back tires have about 80-90% tread and the front have about 1/4 tread. Inspected until May 20012. Paint job done in Nov of 2011 not the best but it sure looks better than it was! This car is in need of a timing belt and water pump, which, A: I simply don´t feel like a good enough ´weekend mechanic´ to try and do myself, and, B: I can´t see spending hundreds of dollars having this thing hauled on a flatbed to a Volvo dealer (the closest one is Bill Gray in Pittsburgh), to have *them* do it, in addition to the parts and labor costs of the job!It needs these things in order to be in running condition, and for someone who is familiar with changing out the needed parts, I think it would be a simple enough fix. That´s actually one of the great things about old Volvos--if you´re mechanically-inclined, things are ´easy to get to,´ and there are many resources for parts on the Internet, both OEM and aftermarket.When it was running, it was a very smooth ride. The seats are comfy, there´s plenty of room for people or cargo, and I really, really loved driving this car! I just replaced the fuel pump before the water pump gave out on me. It had a recent oil change, and, as far as I know, everything else is fine. The leather on the front seats is a bit worn; the back seats look very good. I looked up the parts costs on various websites; it looks like the timing belt and water pump can be had for around $300, depending on where you look. The Kelley Blue Book value for this car in ´Fair´ condition is $1,045.00, so I priced this out accordingly.Please contact me via the e-mail address above; I will respond as soon as possible! Details: This silver Volvo S70 sedan has black leather heated power seats, black interior and a moon roof. It also contains a multiple CD deck, in addition to a cassette player and the radio. The air conditioning and heater worked properly when it was last driven this summer. It has close to 193,000 miles. This mechanic´s special needs a front and rear oxygen sensor. I was quoted $850 from a dealership to put this in and $650 ($500 parts + 2 hours of labor @ 75) from an independent Volvo mechanic to install these sensors. (Update: Both these mechanics inflated the parts price. The O2 sensors can both be purchased online at AutoPartsWarehouse.com for around $80 including shipping) Though high in miles, this car has many updated parts. Newer brake pads and tires, for example. Inspection good through 2/2012 (the end of this month). I love this car and the reason I want to sell it instead of fixing it for my own use is that I have recently inherited my elderly parents´ Volvo that has very low miles on it, so I don´t need two Volvos.As you may know, Volvos are known for their safety. The following is an excerpt from an article in the November 1999 issue of Money magazine (By Jerry Edgerton Reporter/Associate: Elyssa Yoon-Jung Lee) reviewing top cars of that year: Mid-size car: Volvo S70. Runs well except the turbo, which currently provides no boost.
