Details: Before reading the entire post, I´d like to ask that anyone who is seriously interested in the car to please provide a quick description of your plans for it. Although it may seem trite, I really need to sleep easy knowing this car is going into deserving hands. Thank you and please read on.Price is set at *$2,000*I purchased this car in October of 2011 from a local man named Don who owned several other rare euros and needed to make space. From my best guess I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle. It was originally purchased in CT by an American Airlines stewardess who drove the car through college. In about 78´ the car was purchased by Don who occasionally drove the car on weekends, only racking up a total of 99k in his 33 years of ownership. Fortunately Don was a car guy and knew how to properly car for this one. Through his ownership it was never driven during winters and garaged all year round.ENGINE/DRIVELINE:Original B20 with 100k on the clock, Solex carbs. Re-ringed a few years ago and runs great. I´ve installed an MSD blaster coil and resistor which I felt helped smooth the car out quite a bit. The car starts every time no problem, although the choke linkage needs adjusting. The true downfall of the car is that it is equipped with an M40 and does not have an overdrive. It would be quite easy to swap one in though for that matter. The car shifts beautifully and feels very strong.INTERIOR:The interior is extremely clean. The only flaws I´ve found are the upper section of the driver´s seat, which I have shown in the photos. The rest of the seats are flawless, the rubber floor mat is quite clean, no cracks in the dash what-so-ever and all the electrics work (including the radio) Speakers are very nice Panasonics from a few years back.EXTERIOR/BODY:Obviously the two tone was not an original job and was painted by Don a few years ago. I´m quite the perfectionist and would say the paint job leaves a lot to be desired. There are several runs and most notably the trunk appears to have had some oil splatter on it before painting and leaves small droplets where the paint was not able to stick. The floors are clean and have no holes or worry spots. All the arches are fully intact. Buttcheeks offer some surface rust on the inside but nothing that a little brillo pad and primer wouldn´t solve. The seam between the rockers is showing some minor bubbling which could easily be addressed during a re-spray. The front core is in excellent shape but it showing signs of flaking paint and minor rust around the seams. I can provide a spare core support for any interested party, but the one on the car is completely restorable as is. I did notice that some body filler was used to ´shave´ the seam between the core and drivers fender which is now causing some bubbling also. After looking into the fender walls I have concluded that the car was never in an accident and that this was simply done for cosmetics. The only other concerning area is the firewall/hood seal area. The rubber seal which sits over this section had obviously acted like a sponge, trapping water in the channel and eventually causing rot. The saving grace is that this area is covered by the seal, so a simple wire wheel clean, rattle can primer and a new seal will get you back on track.BRAKES/SUSPENSION/WHEELS:It goes without saying, but Ill say it anyway: The 17´ Compomotive wheels are not included in the sale of the car since they are of equal value and I´m sure no one wants them on this board. If for any reason you ARE interested in them, kindly add $2800 to my original asking price. The original brakes were seized beyond belief. I opted for rebuilt original Girlings with all new hardware, pads and front hard lines. I´ve blown out the old lines but have yet to have the time to bleed them. The springs and shocks all appear original. I have two lowering springs for the front that could also be included if the buyer chooses.The car is outfitted with the original 15´ rims and original tires.
